Negotiation is often sees as a commercial endeavour, centred on contracting. It is a skill equally applicable to managing your way through salary negotiations, workshops and meetings, daily trade-offs at work and home, and dealing with teenagers!

This program is delivered over two 4.5 hour days, with the Masterclass as a pre-requisite. It is an interactive program with case studies and practical negotiation simulations online.

Participants will leave assured in their understanding of negotiations and their ability to deliver positive outcomes.

John Glenn

John’s first foray into complex negotiations was working with masters of the trade as they negotiated the disarmament of the Khmer Rouge.

Finding a talent, John followed a 20+ year career in the Army with an equal career in industry as a consultant, with a talent for fixing problem projects, and as a GM for companies such as Hewlett Packard where he managed a business across Asia and Japan. He launched Kiah as a consultancy focussed on the better delivery of public services through working with both the public and private sectors – and at the junction of the two.

He has managed programs from a few million dollars to in excess of a billion, and as diverse as flying a satellite, oil and gas facility remediation, through to catering for the Australian Forces in Afghanistan.

John has sought to apply practice with theory holding multiple tertiary qualifications in science and management, and his studies taking him as far as Edinburgh and Harvard Universities. He is also a Graduate of the AICD program, a Fellow of AIML and a nationally accredited mediator.

His presentations are littered with practical examples of what works and what doesn’t – drawn from nearly forty years of dealing with the complex and the intractable.
